For centuries apricots were considered an aphrodisiac in Europe. Its luscious curves, juicy flesh and sweet taste led people to believe that the eating the prune would unleash the powers of love. All we know is that fresh apricots make fine liqueur. Especially when you blend in some crushed fruit kernels and bring the distillate up to taste with quality brandy. We’ve been doing that for ages.

The product The pure essence of fresh lychee fruit captured in a light, sweet, natural-tasting liqueur. A truly international novelty liqueur, blessed with a unique oriental flavour. The story Emperor Ming of the Tang dynasty supplied his charming consort with only the very best lychees, which she was very fond of. The emperor was generously rewarded for this by her delightful smile and appreciative heart. Need we say more? That’s the power of the lychee: mysterious, light, sweet, soft and seductive, but at the same time very strong-willed. Now captured in a great liqueur called Kwai Feh. Kwai Feh, the liqueur with two faces. Soft as velvet, light, cool – but also: sweet, powerful and distinct. 

Disaronno Originale unbeknownst to most is not actually amaretto which is why it has been removed from it’s label. It is amaretto flavored, with a characteristic bittersweet almond taste. Disaronno claims its “originale” amaretto’s “secret formula” is unchanged from the year 1525, and claims the Luini tale as its own particular history. Its production remains in Saronno, but the product is sold worldwide. The company describes its amaretto as an infusion of “apricot kernel oil” with “absolute alcohol, burnt sugar, and the pure essence of seventeen selected herbs and fruits”; the product does not contain any almonds or other nuts. The amber liqueur is presented in an oblong glass decanter designed by a craftsman from Murano. Disaronno can be served on the rocks, in shots, as part of a cocktail or with a mixer such as Coke or apple, mango or cherry juice.
