Drambuie – Prince Charles Edward Stuart’s Liqueur. After the heroic jacobite rebellion of 1745 Bonnie Prince Charlie escaped from Scotland leaving behind the legacy of his royal recipe, which remained a secret for generations on the Isle of Skye. Today Drambuie’s unqiue, complex taste is enjoyed neat, over ice, mixed long and at the heart of many famous cocktails including the classic rusty nail. A secret recipe of herbs, spices and heather honey, crafted with aged scotch whiskies. 

Dark brown with an orange cast. Fresh peppermint aromas are very distinctive. A huge blast of menthol assaults the palate with a drying, bitter herb finish. Very dry and concentrated.

An aperitif-style liqueur from Bols and its marvellous Galliano range. Jagermeister is produced from a mysterious blend of 56 fruits, roots and herbs with 35% alcohol. The recipe was developed in 1935 and still remains a closely guarded secret today. On the edge of the label of a Jagermeister bottle, the following poem by Otto von Riesenthal is printed: (translated in English) This is the hunter’s badge of glory – That he protects and tends his quarry, – Hunts with honour, as is due – And through the beast to God is true.
