Grand Marnier is a liqueur created in 1880 by Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle. It is made from a blend of true cognacs and distilled essence of bitter orange. Grand Marnier is 40% alcohol. It is produced in several varieties, most of which can be consumed “neat” as a digestif and can be used in mixed drinks and desserts. In France this kind of use is the most popular especially with Crêpes Suzette and “crêpes au Grand Marnier”. César Ritz reportedly came up with the name “Grand Marnier” for Marnier-Lapostolle, who in return helped him purchase and establish the Hotel Ritz Paris.

One of the most famous malts in the world. Glenlivet 12yo has a soft smooth balance of sweet summer fruits and the floral notes of spring flowers. Grassy and floral, with a delicate perfume. Soft citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit, joined by nutty notes of almond and hazelnut. Soft mouthfeel with elegant orange and lemon notes, then some vanilla and toffee adding richness, but this is a delicate, fine-boned single malt with lovely balance and a refreshing character. Remarkably flowery, clean & soft. Light to medium, firm, smooth. Flowery, peachy, notes of vanilla, delicate balance between sweetness & malty dryness. Long, gently warming.

One of Ireland’s finest whiskeys, Tullamore Dew was first distilled in 1829 in the small town of Tullamore in County Offaly in the heart of Ireland. The name derives from the initials of an early owner, Daniel E Williams – DEW. Tullamore Dew is a favourite among Irish whiskeys for its distinctive, accessible taste, enjoyed on its own, over ice or with a little water. The legendary Irish Whiskey is triple distilled, then matured slowly in oak casks to develop its rich, mellow taste. Connoisseurs describe Tullamore Dew as “Subtle, smooth and with a pleasant maltiness combined with charred wood undertones and the natural flavour of golden barley.”
